BGM Consulting Ltd was formed in 2021 from experience gained in industries who are leaders in the delivery of Innovation and Engineering solutions, using cutting edge technologies, often in the harshest of environments. As we enter the 4th Industrial Revolution and a continued Energy Transition, many sectors are looking to innovation and technology to fulfil their engineering solutions. I want to help others move forward by upgrading obsolete equipment or innovate for the future world we will leave to others.......

Just Who Is Brian McRitchie Anyway?

I am a passionate engineer, leader and manager who has worked with some amazing people, from many organisations, countries and cultures. I believe that 'people' are what makes a project a success, through communication and a team work ethos. We're all in it together!

I started my engineering career at 18 with the Royal Navy gaining an HND in Electrical/Electronics Engineering. After ten years I decided to apply for the Royal Navy Submarine Service where I continued to serve until the end of my Naval career. I had the privilege of working with some of the most professional engineers in the world on assets as complex as those within the space program. Here I gained my degree in Electrical/Electronics Engineering and a Graduate-ship in Leadership and Management.

After a successful 22 year career I chose to leave the service and work in the Oil and Gas industry, a sector renowned for its cutting edge technology. Here I became a Chartered Engineer and PRINCE 2 Project Manager. Since then I have held several management and senior management positions, where I have led departments and the amazing people that worked for me. I see leadership as a privilege.

In 2021 I started BGMc-Consulting Ltd and am about to complete my MBA (march 2022!). Married to Susan, with three dogs ! I like to unwind by riding my motorbike and going away on adventures in our campervan.
